Disrupting An 800-Pound Gorilla Like Cisco Systems

It is capitalism’s version of Darwin’s survival of the fittest philosophy. No matter how big companies become, they can always be knocked off their perch by a nimble and dynamic disrupter.

Yet what happens when the disrupter starts to get disrupted itself? Lloyd Carney believes that’s what’s happening to #Cisco Systems, the one-time darling of networking technology stocks.

Carney would say that, of course. He is chief executive of internet networks group #Brocade, whose specialism is fibre channel, a relatively obscure segment of the high-performance storage network connectivity market.
