Updated #Hyper-V-based hyper-converged startup #Gridstore is in talks to buy #DCHQ. Gridstore had hoped to formally announce the acquisition today, but told The Register the deal is still being worked out. It also considered renaming itself Hypergrid after completing the transaction. Gridstore pressed the eject button for CEO George Symons back in February, when it took in $19m C‑round funding and gained a new board chairman Nariman Teymourian, CFO Kevin Rains, chief strategy officer James Thomason, and new Americas sales head Phil Lavery. Kelly Murphy, founder and CTO, then became interim CEO, but now Teymourian has the role, with Gridstore's leadership page bigging him up for his "tremendous insight and extensive career history in high technology coupled with a proven track record of success." This CEO superman has a "wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of cloud computing, enterprise software, business and strategic planning, go-to-market strategies, and program management." He has "outstanding leadership and business acumen, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of Hewlett Packard Enterprise." Actually, he was at HP from March of 2014 to October last year, and a general manager of converged systems, not of #HPE as this GridStore bio might suggest. DCHQ is a San Francisco startup in the container space offering app modeling, deployment and governance services. It was founded in March last year by Amjad Afanah, who has senior product management stints at #VMware and #Oracle in his CV.
