Apple beats Samsung in $120M patent case in reinstated win

The patent battle, which started in 2012, reached a new chapter on Friday, as federal judges for the US Court of Appeals overturned the ruling in favor of #Samsung in February in an 8-3 decision, according to Reuters. In February, the same court reversed a 2014 jury verdict that ruled for #Apple, tossing out the $120 million win which was reinstated on Friday. Apple and Samsung did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Samsung has lost a series of cases in its legal battles with Apple over patents. In December, the South Korean company lost a patent and was ordered to pay $548.2 million. Samsung hopes to argue that decision before the Supreme Court. The patent feud erupted over Apple's slide-to-unlock, autocorrect and "quick links" four years ago, in a back-and-forth legal dispute between the two tech companies.
