#Huawei jumped 16 positions on the #Interbrand Best Global Brands list for 2016, settling at rank 72 compared to 88 in 2015. This is the second consecutive year Huawei has risen on Interbrand’s list since the company became the first mainland Chinese brand to be recognised as a Best Global Brand in 2014. Interbrand, specialised in brands’ valuation, mentioned in its report that Huawei’s brand value increased by 18% to reach $5.8bn compared to last year. In Interbrand’s annual report, it is also one of the top growing brands in the technology sector, climbing from rank 88 to 72. Between 2011 and 2015, Huawei achieved a compound annual growth rate of 18% through its revenues that registered $60.8bn. Huawei Consumer Business Group revenues contributed to Huawei’s with $19.36bn, an increase of 72.9% since 2014. In 2015, Huawei sold roughly 108 smartphones to international markets. Huawei allocates 10% of its total annual revenues to the research and development sector, where the company has built 16 centres for research and development around the world.
