#Hyperconverged infrastructure player #Nutanix has made a flurry of new EMEA appointments including ex- #EMC executive Chris Kaddaras. Kaddaras spent 15 years at EMC where he most recently served as vice president of presales across EMEA. Nutanix also announced that Patrick Cowden will take the helm as vice president of central Europe, DACH and emerging markets, after a previous four-year stint at Hitachi and Dell and two-years at EMC. Finally, Mark Lewis has been appointed senior director of EMEA marketing. He previously held posts at #Cloudera, EMC and #Riverbed. The firm claims the new appointments will help Nutanix capitalise on its Enterprise Cloud Platform offering. "We empower our people to interpret and adapt our values to best fit their needs across EMEA and beyond," said president of Nutanix Sudheesh Nair. "The new strategic hires will have a pivotal role to play, as our growth has been accelerated due to a rapid increase in customers, partners and employees. Chris, Patrick, and Mark will not only drive our enterprise cloud solutions to new markets, but also cement our approach as a global company committed to local markets." US-based Nutanix recently made its debut on the NASDAQ stock market. The firm's shares soared by 133 per cent on its first day of trading; the highest opening day of any US listing to date in 2016. Nutanix has been acquisitive in its ambitions to boost its enterprise cloud platform. It snapped up data storage software vendor #PernixData and development and automation start-up Calm.io at the end of August.
