Former #EMC sales boss and #Nutanix 's newly appointed vice president of EMEA has claimed that he is looking to leverage the hyper converged vendor's relationship with #Dell EMC after the two IT giants became one last month. Having spent 15 years at EMC in EMEA sales and presales leadership roles, Chris Kaddaras moved to spearhead Nutanix's EMEA operations this month. Nutanix signed an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement with Dell in 2014. The agreement saw Nutanix running its software offering on Dell's XC storage series, as well as collaborating on sales, marketing, support and services. Kaddaras said that its merger with EMC has done little to create friction with Nutanix's partnership with Dell, but on the contrary has provided an opportunity to leverage the relationship further. "I was at EMC for 15 and a half years. I was very involved in the integration process between the two companies. I was incredibly implicated in the process and I think they have created an incredible offering for customers and partners. I think they are incredibly focused; I was involved in every detail in the integration process and they have followed through with the execution," he said. "I think that the merger is going to provide a very strong offering to the market. We consider Dell EMC a very strong partner of Nutanix and we think we can leverage that relationship even more now they are one company; I do not see much down side. I am here because I can provide Nutanix with the knowledge to navigate through that and make sure the Dell EMC partnership is still strong." Although Kaddaras has only been in his new role for less than two weeks, he said he has underlined three initial priorities as head of EMEA.
