A committed Christian who nearly went into the church rather than technology, he gives away 40pc of his salary, prays and sings hymns on journeys from his Californian office to the airport and resolved early in life to never read his daily business newspaper until he had first read the Bible. Right now, however, all that everybody wants to hear is how the chief executive of #VMware, the $32bn (£26.2bn) market capitalisation US technology group, is getting on with #MichaelDell.
