Vodafone appoints Dell man to lead Group Enterprise arm

#Vodafone has appointed #Dell and #HewlettPackard veteran @BrianHumphries as Group Enterprise Director. Humphries succeeds Nick Jeffery, who was promoted to Chief Executive of the operator's UK opco in July. Jeffery replaced Jeroen Hoencamp, who started as CEO of Vodafone Netherlands in September, with responsibility also for the operator’s joint venture with Liberty Global. Humphries will join Vodafone’s executive committee in February and report to the Group CEO Vittorio Colao. He will oversee Vodafone Group's enterprise business across all of its markets, including its Internet of Things business, and its Cloud and Hosting and Carrier Services divisions. Vodafone Global Enterprise serves around 1,700 large companies. Humphries is currently President and Chief Operating Officer for Dell EMC’s Infrastructure Solutions Group. He was previously with Hewlett-Packard, where roles included Senior Vice President for Emerging Markets, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Corporate Development and Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive. He also served as Chief Financial Officer with HP Services. Colao said: “Brian has extensive and diverse international leadership experience and a strong track record in driving market share growth. We are delighted to welcome him to Vodafone.”
