VMware sets eyes on the Indian telecom sector

To say that #VMware is banking on tremendous growth from the Indian market this year would be putting it mildly. The company, traditionally known for server virtualization software has taken major leaps with its new cloud architecture and strategic partnerships. 2016 was a year of significant developments for VMware. The milestones included #Dell and #AmazonWebServices partnerships, sale of over a million licenses of #AirWatch , VMware’s enterprise mobility management offering, and a revived cloud strategy. But what about 2017? VMware is looking at tapping into the Indian telecom market with its #NFV technology. The 4G wars are only getting hotter as other major operators look to compete with Reliance Jio. We spoke to Anand Patil, India lead, SDDC Sales at VMware to find out how the company planned to get a slice of the action.
