A top #Huawei executive revealed that in order to support the rapid development of its services around the world, the company’s internal IT team has built eight regional data centers that serve more than 180,000 employees. Those eight data centers have nearly one million virtual machines running and run more than 800 applications. Huawei said that Ying Xiong, chief architect of Huawei’s cloud platform, provided these details at the CloudNativeCon + KubeCon conference in Berlin, Germany this week. Xiong also talked about Huawei’s efforts to redesign applications for the cloud and to promote the development of container communities.
