Super Micro Computer Assigned Two Patents

#SuperMicro Computer Inc., San Jose, CA, has been assigned a patent (9,626,326) developed by Chen, Richard S., Liang, Lawrence H., Lam, Lawrence K. W., and Ping, Shen, San Jose, CA, for a "data storage expanding apparatus." The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "A data storage expanding apparatus is electrically coupled to a terminal equipment and multiple data storage groups. Each data storage group includes a plurality of data storage devices. The data storage expanding apparatus configured to transmit an operating data between the terminal equipment and to a particular data storage device. The data storage expanding apparatus includes a data storage expanding module and multiple signal expanding modules. The data storage expanding module is electrically coupled to the terminal equipment. The signal expanding modules are electrically coupled in series, and to the data storage groups, respectively. One of the signal expanding modules is electrically coupled to the data storage expanding module. The operating data signal is transmitted to the signal expanding module via the data storage expanding module electrically connected to the signal expanding module, and then transmitted to particular data storage device via the signal expanding module." Top-load HDD server Super Micro Computer Inc., San Jose, CA, has been assigned a patent (9,625,959) developed by Chen, Richard S., and Wu, Chaoching, San Jose, CA, for a "data storage expanding apparatus." The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "The present disclosure provides a top-load HDD server including: a partition plate arranged in a containing space of a case to divide the containing space into a plurality of hard disk chambers and a system chamber, a mother board arranged at a bottom of the system chamber, a power supply frame including a power control board and a power carrier, the power carrier includes a movable frame and a fixed frame, the movable frame is arranged on the power control board and removable, and thereby improves cable management and maintenance."
