@Commvault has announced a strategic partnership with @Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( #HPE) to deliver Commvault #healthcare solutions to HPE customers. Through the reseller agreement, HPE and its global network partners will sell Commvault’s portfolio of healthcare solutions on HPE infrastructure. This includes the Commvault Clinical Archive and the Commvault Data Platform, designed to protect and manage electronic patient record data, as well as medical images across healthcare enterprises. The introduction of Commvault Clinical Archive on HPE infrastructure is the first enterprise medical image management solution HPE has brought to the market, and is designed to simplify access to – and management of – imaging data created in disparate PACS solutions. The addition of Commvault’s healthcare solutions is an extension of HPE’s Complete Commvault Software offering, providing healthcare customers with data protection integrated and optimised for HPE Storage and other infrastructure products, including HPE StoreOnce, HPE 3PAR, HPE Nimble Storage, HPE Apollo, and HPE Proliant. The partnership was announced at the HIMSS18 show this week in Las Vegas. Patrick Osborne, director of storage and big data product management at HPE, said: “Increasing amounts and types of mission-critical data, stricter regulatory requirements, and the growing threat from ransomware and other cyber security attacks, are increasing the costs and complexity of data management and protection for healthcare organisations. “With this agreement, our healthcare customers now have a one-stop shop for finding HPE integrated and certified Commvault solutions that help them to simplify data management and protection, increase data availability, reduce costs, and minimise regulatory compliance risk, while also empowering them to better activate data for valuable insights.” Fred Mills, senior director of Commvault Healthcare, added: “The availability of fully integrated, certified Commvault healthcare solutions from HPE marks a significant step forward in making it easier for the healthcare industry to implement holistic data management strategies that accelerate digital transformation initiatives and improve patient care while reducing IT complexity.”
