California Man Charged In West Hartford Dell Technologies Computer and Server Scam Seeks Special Form Of Probation

California man described in court Tuesday as "the main suspect in an ongoing fraud investigation” into the theft of $7 million in equipment from @DellTechnologies Computer asked a judge to grant him a special form of probation that could allow the felony charges he faces to eventually be dismissed. Mikhail Oleg Lev, 42, is charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny after police and federal authorities said he tried to fraudulently take possession of two computer servers valued at $121,450 in West Hartford earlier this year. Hartford Superior Court Judge Laura F. Baldini heard Lev’s lawyer, Michael Chambers Jr., and prosecutor Robin Krawczyk argue their positions Tuesday, but deferred a decision until August. Lev, of Encino, Calif., is free on $250,000 bail.
