#HPE is pushing its Internet of Things business to a new level, on Tuesday unveiling an array of software-defined services, apps, and new partnerships around industrial #IoT. HPE first introduced its #Edgeline Converged Edge systems in June 2016, which bring high-performance x86 computing power to the edge of the network. The company has now focused on #softwaredefinedservices and apps to add another layer to its converged offerings. "We've kicked [our IoT platform] up a notch," Dr. Tom Bradicich, the vice president and general manager of Servers, Converged Edge and IoT Systems at HPE, told CRN. " We're taking devices in the operational technology world, and we're software defining them on our open, x86 Edgeline systems."
