WANdisco: Cloud OEM Agreement With Virtustream/Dell

@Wandisco ’s (LON: #WAND) second OEM partnership, with @Virtustream, @DellEMC ’s #cloudplatform and software business, significantly strengthens the company’s platform for growth in FY18 and beyond. It is also significant because it relates to #cloud #objectstorage rather than #Hadoop, firmly demonstrating the applicability of #Fusion in #cloud/ #hybridcloud deployments. It thus raises confidence that other similar deals in the pipeline will also convert, laying a platform for a very significant acceleration in growth. WANdisco Second OEM, first for cloud Virtustream is a subsidiary of computing/storage giant Dell/EMC. Its focus is on enabling enterprises to run mission critical applications in cloud/private cloud or hybrid cloud deployments, making it a natural fit for WANdisco Fusion. Fusion will be sold as a standard Virtustream product covering on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments, using WANdisco’s standard subscription pricing model. We understand that the deal has a $3m+ minimum commitment, but believe that there is scope for this to be exceeded relatively quickly. The product’s launch is anticipated in December, and thus the partnership should start to contribute meaningfully to revenues in FY18. To read the entire report Please click on the pdf File Below:

Qubole and WANdisco Move Enterprises to the Cloud With Cloudera Migration ProgramNew Partnership With WANdisco Reduces Cost and Complexity, and Eliminates Downtime During Cloud Migration

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2016) - #Qubole, the big data-as-a-service company, today announced the launch of its #Cloudera Migration Program to assist enterprises in expanding their use of big data by leveraging the advantages of the cloud. As part of the program, Qubole has partnered with #WANdisco (LSE: WAND), the market leader in active transactional data replication, to create a seamless process for customers migrating data and analytics to the cloud with no downtime or business disruption. "The big data industry is shifting from on-premise to cloud as the preferred deployment model, but many early Cloudera customers are stuck with a system that wasn't designed for the cloud," said Ashish Thusoo, co-founder and CEO of Qubole. "Together with WANdisco, Qubole now offers the first fully packaged migration service which enables companies to experience the full benefits of big data analytics in the cloud." As enterprises struggle with the expense and operational complexity of expanding on-premise systems, the adaptability, agility and cost advantages of cloud are compelling. Qubole customers have seen savings up to 80% for workloads using spot instances and have admins supporting hundreds of users. The Cloudera Migration Program is designed for companies that deployed Cloudera Express, Cloudera Enterprise or CDH on-premise and now want a quick and easy way to leverage the massive economies of scale offered by cloud.
