4 Reasons Tintri's IPO Will Singe Your Portfolio

It's been five years since I interviewed the founder of flash-storage maker #Tintri. While he left its CEO slot in 2013, the thing about the interview that stuck in my mind is that Tintri is the Gaelic word for lightning. If my 2012 interview revealed Tintri's brilliance, the over five year gap between that flash of lightning and its muted upcoming IPO reveals an important story -- it is a bad idea for venture investors to think that they can profit from funding storage companies that price their products below costs.
