At CES 2018, @Dell has announced two new laptops – a refreshed version of its excellent #XPS 13 and a 15-inch version of its XPS 2-in-1 notebook. The company is also venturing into software with a new application that aims to bring true mobility between a PC and smartphone. DELL XPS 13 Dell XPS 13 is undoubtedly the best Windows notebook but it seems to have lost out in terms of design in the past year. Dell first announced the XPS 13 with InfinityEdge display in 2015 and the laptop has received the much needed design refresh at CES this year. The major design change comes in the form of a new white and gold color option and updated port selection. The new XPS 13 features the same 13-inch InfinityEdge display found on its predecessor but can now be configured with a 4K panel as opposed to the QHD+ panel found on outgoing model. The new XPS 13 now comes with options for either Core i5 or i7 8th generation CPU, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. Dell is also going Apple way by dropping the regular USB port in favor of USB Type-C port. However, it is including a USB-C to USB-A adapter with the model which will be useful in the short term. The new XPS 13 is just 12 mm thick and is nearly 5 mm thinner than its predecessor.
