#Hanwha Techwin America (formerly #Samsung Techwin America) has launched the #SmartCloud, a cloud storage service powered by video analytics to expand storage for SmartCam HD Plus, the company said.
With the SmartCloud, video footage is stored in the cloud, offering users protection against home invasion. Even if a camera is stolen or damaged, the video will be preserved and users will be equipped to review the footage history from any unforeseen events.
SmartCloud also delivers improved motion detection accuracy in any setting, leveraging algorithms to better analyze lights and shadows to filter out irrelevant activity from footage that could trigger false alarms. This offering also represents the progression in activity recognition.
SmartCloud leverages bank-level security to ensure users can safely view and manage their videos, even on open wireless networks. With the enhanced restrictions, footage will be encrypted while in transmission to the cloud and streamed securely on computers, iOS and Android devices via SSL encryption.
Hanwha Techwin America acquired Samsung Techwin America from Samsung Electronics in December 2014 and is re-branding the division under Hanwha Techwin America. As part of the arrangement, both organizations agreed to preserve the Samsung product name to continue the development of products for professional and consumer security applications.
