#SDN Reached $1.1 Billion In The First Half Of 2016 The global data center and enterprise software defined networking market reached $1.1 billion in sales for the first half of 2016, according to research firm IHS Markit. That represented a 42-percent increase over the first half of 2015, with all parts of the globe reporting upticks in spending. Significant growth is expected to continue in 2017. Although #Cisco and #VMware remained the market leaders, new technology such as from #SDWAN startups #Viptela and #Velocloud turned some heads in 2016.
