And indeed he is. #GeorgeKurian, chief executive officer and president of the $5.5-billion #NetApp, grew up in Bengaluru, studied at the St Joseph's Boys High School. He is one of four brothers, all of who grew up here and became hugely successful in their fields. His twin brother Thomas Kurian is president at Oracle. George and Thomas both got into IIT Madras, and both left it within six months when they got admission into Princeton University. George had stints at McKinsey & Co, #AkamaiTechnologies and #Cisco, and joined NetApp in 2011. He was appointed CEO in mid-2015.
