#PLUMgrid ’s acquisition will boost #VMware ’s #NSX
Earlier in the series, we discussed VMware’s (VMW) focus on the #HCI (hyper-converged infrastructure) space. We also discussed the impact of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise’s ( #HPE ) recently announced acquisition of #SimpliVity on the overall HCI space and on VMware in particular. VMware ended 2016 with the acquisition of technology and IP (intellectual property) of PLUMgrid, a startup that designs smart #SDN (software-designed networking) systems.
