Monday 17 April 2017 | 07:56 CET | News In the fourth quarter of 2016, the volume of Taiwanese server system shipped at the full system/barebones levels totaled about 1.001 million units, representing a 9.1 percent sequential growth. Taiwanese server systems shipped at the board level reached about 1.245 million units, up 4.2 percent sequentially and 14 year-on-year, according to Taipei-based IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute). The report also shows that the global server market is currently led by growth momentum in the Chinese market as the market is the world`s second largest market, next to North America. In China, the market is dominated by homegrown brands #Huawei, Inspur, and #Lenovo that account for about 70 percent of the server supply in China
