#SamsungSDS, the IT service affiliate of Samsung Electronics, and US-based business analytics vendor SAS will offer their jointly-developed new big data analytics solutions, the companies have announced. Their analytics system uses SAS Enterprise Minor and SAS IN-Database and Samsung SDS's Brightics, its self-developed analytic platform. The MOU will allow the two to combine SAS's know-how in servicing 80,000 clients in government and enterprise worldwide and Samsung SDS's long record of big data analytics in servicing large group affiliates. Under the MOU, the two will also cooperate in machine learning to find possible business opportunities in the area for the future. Samsung SDS is attempting to strengthen its reach abroad by signing big cooperating agreements with global data giants in recent years, in enterprise solutions ranging from security to the cloud.
