QNAP launches new rackmount enterprise-class NAS drivesq.

#QNAP 's latest NAS drives in the TES-x85U series are now on the market, bringing high performance and energy savings to a new level in enterprise-class storage and backup. The options: TES-1885U and TES-3085U The single rackmount NAS drives come in two varieties. An 18-bay TES-1885U and 30-bay TES-3085U are now available to users, both powered by an Intel Xeon D processor, an integrated PCH, multiple storage capacities and a choice of two operating systems. The basic specifications The TES-x85U series has been specifically certified for #VMware vSphere 6.0. It also supports compatibility for #Microsoft #Hyper-V with support for ODX and Windows Server 2012 and #Citrix XenServer 6.0 for flexible deployment in virtualisation environments. The TES-x85U series also allows for scalability, with connection options for up to eight QNAP expansion enclosures. Through VJBOD, unused storage capacity from other QNAP NAS drives can be mounted to the units to create virtual storage volumes for operating NAS services as if they were local drives. "With quality hardware delivering high expandability and reliability alongside powerful software manageability, the TES-x85U is highly suited for mission-critical computing tasks and applications. The extreme flexibility to choose from two operating systems further allows businesses to deploy ideal operating systems on multiple TES-x85U based on their needs and goals in different stages," explains QNAP product manager David Tsao. QNAP states that both models also feature two built-in 10GbE SFP+ ports to support compatible environments. They can also boost system performance, with PCIe Gen.3 expansion for additional 10GbE/40GbE adapters and PCIe NVMe SSD.
