Nashua, NH – June 20, 2017 – #Plexxi, a pioneer of #hyperconvergednetworking ( #HCN ), today announced that #Plexxi Co-Founder and VP of Product Management, Mat Mathews, will be a featured speaker at the Nutanix .NEXT Conference on June 28. Mathews, an industry-recognized networking veteran and thought-leader, has been instrumental in driving Plexxi’s strategy of tight integration with the #Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform. Mathews, along with Nutanix’s networking security specialist engineer, Yuan Wang, will deliver a presentation on Plexxi HCNTM integration with Nutanix, and they will also offer a demonstration of the automation and integrated network visualization that this integration provides customers. In their session entitled, “Introducing the Hyperconverged Network,” Mat and Yuan will discuss the reasons why hypervconverged infrastructure needs a hyperconverged network. They will review the multiple attributes of HCN and cite examples of how customers can use Plexxi HCN to build a solid HCI foundation from the start, one that customers can easily scale into a full-fledged Enterprise Private Cloud. They will also demonstrate how Plexxi HCN integration with Nutanix makes Plexxi HCN “Nutanix aware,” which enables network visualization in Prism, as well as configuration and management automation. “Our goal with Plexxi HCN is to allow Nutanix customers to seamlessly build clusters connected on an advanced network fabric, without the need to be networking experts, said Mathews. “Because Plexxi HCN is under software control and via APIs integrates tightly into the Nutanix converged compute/storage software stack, it becomes aware of the Nutanix infrastructure. This awareness enables Plexxi HCN to easily automate network configuration and dynamically respond to cluster events, vastly simplifying network administration and eliminating the need for specially trained network personnel.” Mat Mathews has spent over 23 years in the networking industry observing, experimenting, and ultimately honing his technology vision.
