#KlasTelecom announced today a collaboration with #DellEMC OEM Solutions to bring enterprise data center technology to the tactical edge utilizing Klas Telecom’s new Voyager Tactical Data Center (Voyager TDC), an enterprise-grade compute and data storage network that is purpose-built for the field and is the size of an airline carry-on. The relationship will allow Dell EMC, which has led the market in enterprise data center computing, to expand into new markets where ruggedized and low size, weight and power (SWAP) systems are required. Dell EMC and Klas Telecom products have similar architectures around Intel® Xeon® processing and software platforms and both meet government requirements for being standards-based commercial off the shelf (SCOTS) products. In addition, the Voyager TDC is designed to meet government and military ruggedization standards. “We are very excited to work with Dell EMC’s OEM program, which will enable us to reach new heights,” Klas Telecom CEO John Gallagher said. “Leveraging Dell EMC’s global network and worldwide sales and services capabilities will be extremely valuable to Klas Telecom.
