Customers trying to unite their hybrid IT infrastructures with server management tools get mixed messages from the big server vendors. All major server vendors have touted compatibility with the Redfish server management open standard specification in recent weeks, in the newest versions of their servers -- Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( #HPE ) Gen10, #DellEMC 's #14G and #Cisco Unified Computing System ( #UCS ) M5. But this goodness comes undone as each vendor, unwilling to relinquish management of their systems, continues to favor its own proprietary systems management tools.
