Russia in Talks With China's Huawei on Data Storage Technologies' Licensing

A Russian telecommunications equipment firm is in talks with China’s technology companies #Huawei and #Lenovo on licensing for the technology of manufacturing data storage units necessary for the implementation of Russia’s new anti-terror law, Russian newspaper Kommersant reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the situation. MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Equipment maker Bulat, partly owned by Russia's industrial conglomerate Rostec, seeks to obtain licenses from the Chinese side to produce data storage equipment, the Russian newspaper said. "Negotiations with Huawei are at a more advanced stage, we are talking about the transfer of production technology solutions for data centers and construction of communication channels, such as different servers, data storage systems and telecommunications equipment," a source told the
