#IngramMicro is the latest Australian distributor to be awarded the #DellWyse portfolio. John Brown, Ingram Micro Australia's general manager vendor management, said that adding Dell’s #CloudClientComputing rounds out the commercial offerings that the distributor can deliver to its channel customers. Ari Palandjian, Dell Cloud Client Computing regional sales manager, said: "Dell Cloud Client Computing is investing heavily with both our distribution and channel partners and we’ve seen tremendous growth over the last 12 months in our #VDI solution business, from the data centre through to Dell Wyse thin client end-points. "Our resources are now focused on accelerating our growth, not only with our traditional distributors Avnet and Dicker Data, but now also with Ingram Micro. This is an extension of our global relationship with Ingram and a reflection of the strength in the combined Dell and EMC portfolio’s that Ingram brings," Palandjian added. Dell is running technical training and enablement courses in Sydney and Melbourne over the next two months, for partners that want to extend and improve the skills of its staff, according to Dell. "Partners that invest time in these types of enablement sessions, experience nine times the revenue compared to partners that do not, so we will continue to work with partners to help build out their technical and services capability around our VDI solutions," Palandjian said. Ingram's Brown said that the distributor will "continue to drive sales and technical training across the entire portfolio, including Dell Wyse thin clients". "We believe this is a key component to help business partners differentiate themselves in the market and to grow profitably," Brown said. Ingram joins Avnet and Dicker Data in what has become a pattern where the three distributors slowly get access to #DellEMC products in Australia. In April 2016, Avnet was awarded with Dell's entire portfolio, at the time the distributor was already offering Dell software products and Wyse thin client. Ingram Micro was the first distributor to be granted with Dell's full enterprise portfolio in November 2014. In May 2015, Ingram got access to Dell's end user PC products. Both Ingram and Avnet also supply EMC under agreements forged before the storage vendor was acquired by Dell. In July 2016, Dicker Data was awarded Dell's full catalogue. Dicker first gained access to Dell products following its acquisition of Express Data in 2014.
