#HPE is one of a handful of companies in the US that still has a significant advanced research group looking at projects and products beyond the near future. Intelligent advanced research is important to develop long term options to solve future problems. One of the biggest problems that will face our society as it undergoes a digital transformation is how to process the deluge of data that is being generated as all of our things become intelligent and as the world becomes more automated. At the HPE Discover event in Las Vegas HPE announced that it would make the world’s most secure industry standard servers in its next generation ProLiant products. These chip-based security systems integrate principles developed by the Trusted Computing Group (TPC) to create an internet root of trust in the server. This product should address firmware attacks that threaten enterprises and governments. A link between this security chip and HPE’s Integrated Lights Out (iLO) firmware protects the servers from firmware attacks
